I remember in like 6th grade, these shoes were the coolest things in the world. People would put socks under the tongue of the shoes to insure that they look extra large. Now, this was in middle school. I am now in college. I never really participated in this trend, but I was pretty sure that it had faded out by now. Until recently, I have noticed more and more people wearing these type of shoes, with colorful laces, nonetheless. And not just kids, but adults too. I don't even know what to say about ADULTS wearing these. They are for children, middle schoolers and maybe a few high schoolers that didn't get the memo that less is more. But here is my main problem with these, I guess "skater" shoes: They make your feet look HUGE. Like boulder status. And that is not cute. I have never seen an outfit paired with these that looks good. You do not want the main focus of whatever you're wearing to be the large pink marshmallows on your feet. Also, the stuffing your s
hoes thing has GOT to stop. It looks abnormal and weird. If we're going to do a colored shoe, a simple pink flat might pair better with a more casual outfit that needs a little pop of color. Or a red pump with a nice pair of dark jeans could also be an option. Like I said before, sometimes less really is more. I am all about originality and expressing yourself through clothing, but lets give people the chance to notice your entire outfit and not just your feet.Lets be honest...marshmallows are not to be worn on feet.
(Are you dying right now? Birkenstocks and Marshmallows in one picture?! LOL)
