Lets be honest...Rolls are best when served with dinner

Hi loves!

I haven't been on in a while! Its about time that I get back on this thing. Lately I have noticed an overwhelming amount of people wearing pants that are WAY too small. This is probably one of the most unattractive ways to dress, in my book. MUFFIN TOPS are completely avoidable and unnecessary. Just because you can zip a pair of jeans, does not mean that they fit.

I think that people get caught up in the size number rather than the fit. This is a LARGE mistake. You literally gain ten pounds just by wearing jeans that don't fit. I am confused about the process of buying jeans that are 4 sizes too small...there is no way that this look could possibly be comfortable. Or maybe it is, letting it all hang out? Regardless, spend the extra couple minutes in the dressing room to find a pair of jeans that actually compliment your body, not the opposite.

Personal opinion: Wearing clothing that is too small automatically cheapens the look.

It honestly just comes off as lazy when people wear clothes that don't fit. You can still shop at the same stores and have the same style, in most cases. It just requires spending a few more minutes trying different shapes and sizes on. And plus, who honestly wants to look heavier than they actually are?!

Lets be honest...unless you're trying to look at least ten pounds heavier, buy jeans that actually fit.

Lets be honest...The focus should be on you, not your feet

I remember in like 6th grade, these shoes were the coolest things in the world. People would put socks under the tongue of the shoes to insure that they look extra large. Now, this was in middle school. I am now in college. I never really participated in this trend, but I was pretty sure that it had faded out by now. Until recently, I have noticed more and more people wearing these type of shoes, with colorful laces, nonetheless. And not just kids, but adults too. I don't even know what to say about ADULTS wearing these. They are for children, middle schoolers and maybe a few high schoolers that didn't get the memo that less is more. But here is my main problem with these, I guess "skater" shoes: They make your feet look HUGE. Like boulder status. And that is not cute. I have never seen an outfit paired with these that looks good. You do not want the main focus of whatever you're wearing to be the large pink marshmallows on your feet. Also, the stuffing your shoes thing has GOT to stop. It looks abnormal and weird. If we're going to do a colored shoe, a simple pink flat might pair better with a more casual outfit that needs a little pop of color. Or a red pump with a nice pair of dark jeans could also be an option. Like I said before, sometimes less really is more. I am all about originality and expressing yourself through clothing, but lets give people the chance to notice your entire outfit and not just your feet.

Lets be honest...marshmallows are not to be worn on feet.

(Are you dying right now? Birkenstocks and Marshmallows in one picture?! LOL)

Lets be honest...I changed my mind

I have changed my mind, I do think this is going to turn into a fashion police blog. There are so many things that people wear that I feel compelled to write about. So, bare with me loves. After finals, there is going to be a blogging marathon going on.

Lets be honest...we need to discuss the fashion catastrophes that occur everyday.

Lets be honest...Pajamas in public

Dolls,

I don't want this to turn into a fashion police type of blog. I really wanted to make this to share my thoughts on basically everything in life. But, I have another fashion situation that I feel I need to address. Pajama pants worn in public.

Today I was at school studying for midterms and I couldn't help but notice multiple people wearing actual pajama pants. Now, let me get one thing straight, I was not lookin' so hot myself. With finals and midterms, I totally understand the tired, "I give up" look. But I do not understand wearing sleeping clothing to school, or anywhere in public for that matter.

As I moved on with my day and went to work, I sat and counted all the people that came through wearing these sad excuses for an outfit and literally lost count. See, I really do not get it. Are people really not changing their clothing after they wake up everyday, if so we have a large hygiene problem on our hands. Or do they change into them like putting on a normal outfit?

Here's my deal, if you want comfort, invest in a yoga pant and maybe a cute tracksuit to wear every now and then. PJ's in public just screams "I AM GROSS!", if you ask me. It takes the same amount of time to put on a normal pair of sweats as it does to wear old grungy sleep wear.

Here's the other thing...We don't sleep while in public. Well at least I don't and I assume that most other people are on the same boat as me here.

Lets chat about this. Comment all you would like :]

And lets be honest....Pajamas should not be worn outside of your home.

Lets be honest...Uggs with skirts

Ladies,

I love me a pair of Uggs. They are probably the single most comfortable shoes I own. However, skirts(or dresses and shorts, for that matter)+uggs= no go. Just like socks and sandals, if its warm enough to be wearing a skirt, it is too warm to be wearing uggs.

There really are no exceptions to this rule.

I googled this topic to see if anyone else was on the same page as me, and indeed I am not the only one. So here are some good UGG rules to live by:

1. Do not wear them when you should be dressed formally. No matter how you dress them up, they can not replace a good pair of dress shoes or heels. Give up them while being supposed to be wearing a suit and tie.

2. Do not wear them with evening gowns. Believe it or not, gowns warrant stilettos, embellished flats, strappy sandals which are formal and elegant.Ugg boats are casual shoes that are neither formal nor gorgeous. Do wear them with casual outfits. (Seems silly that this would even need to be said, but people never seize to amaze me)

3. And again, uggs should NOT be worn in conjunction with any type of summer clothing.

Lets be honest...this is not the way to keep it classy

Lets be honest...Sandals with socks

As I left class today and walked through the parking lot, I couldn't help but over hear a young guy and girl talking about wearing sandals, or in his case Jordan sandals, with socks. He proceeded to tell that this look is only appropriate if matching socks are worn with the ensemble. My thoughts on this are: this look is NEVER appropriate.

I don't personally understand this awful look. Or how one would look in the mirror and think to themselves "this looks good." I mean, at this point I question if the looking in the mirror part is skipped before exiting your home. Don't even get me started on BIRKENSTOCKS with socks, or birkenstocks just in themselves, but come on.

Socks are to be worn with tennis shoes, boots, closed FOOT shoes, and by no means sandals. If it is warm enough outside to be wearing flip flops, it is definitely warm enough to let your feet be shown. If you have ugly feet, suck it up and get a pedicure.

So unless you are running out at 6am to grab the newspaper from the end of your drive way or you are legitimately homeless, i beg of you to stay away from this hideous look.

Lets be honest, this is not cute.
