As I left class today and walked through the parking lot, I couldn't help but over hear a young guy and girl talking about wearing sandals, or in his case Jordan sandals, with socks. He proceeded to tell that this look is only appropriate if matching socks are worn with the ensemble. My thoughts on this are: this look is NEVER appropriate.
I don't personally understand this awful look. Or how one would look in the mirror and think to themselves "this looks good." I mean, at this point I question if the looking in the mirror part is skipped before exiting your home. Don't even get me started on BIRKENSTOCKS with socks, or birkenstocks just in themselves, but come on.
Socks are to be worn with tennis shoes, boots, closed FOOT shoes, and by no means sandals. If it is warm enough outside to be wearing flip flops, it is definitely warm enough to let your feet be shown. If you have ugly feet, suck it up and get a pedicure.
So unless you are running out at 6am to grab the newspaper from the end of your drive way or you are legitimately homeless, i beg of you to stay away from this hideous look.
Lets be honest, this is not cute.
